Located on about six
acres in Greeley’s northeast side, Island Grove Village Apartments
(IGV) is
a
Housing and Urban Development Section 8
multi-family,
low-income housing complex, serving as a home and a true
community to more than 300 residents.
Recipient of numerous
local, state, national, and housing industry awards since
construction was completed in 1972, IGV has a long and proud
history of involvement in and commitment to the surrounding
community. Whether it’s our
award-winning, free community
computer lab or our aggressive
energy-conservation initiatives, our role as a
leader in neighborhood coalition-building or our bustling range
of year-round activities, IGV has nurtured numerous partnerships
in our neighborhood and throughout our city. But perhaps more
important to us, we have enjoyed being a partner to the many
associations and organizations that are succeeding in their own
efforts to enrich our often-troubled community.
IGV
is owned and operated by
Trinity Housing Corporation of
Greeley, a separate, nonprofit entity of
Trinity Episcopal Church of
Greeley, as a long-term outreach program of its Greater
Mission to support poor and oppressed people, particularly those
underserved minorities in our own community.
